Time to share love ☕️

Bublic is ready to share its love with the world! Our website (this beautiful creation, thanks to Framer for making design so fun!) is almost complete.

I just need to record some videos for the landing page and create content to drive organic traffic on social media. Let's aim for at least one subscription — fingers crossed!

30 or Portfolio

With the front end ready, it was time for some real-world validation.

After discussing with Tiago and a friend from YC, I decided to move forward with the backend only if I sell at least 30 licenses (still waiting for the first sale, by the way!).

If no one buys, no worries — it's still a great portfolio piece!

Time to code and suffer

What was I thinking?! Just kidding, I love to code 👀

Time to put my years of web development, countless cups of coffee, and my trusty companion, Sir ChatGPT, to work on the front end.

A few color choices, some linear gradients, and plenty of margin bugs later... what fun!

Reddit Success

With a Figma prototype in hand, I began validating the idea by sharing it in communities and on Reddit.

To my surprise, I received dozens (yes, I know, not that many, but I'm still thrilled!) of positive feedback about the concept and UI. Meanwhile, I defined the tech stack: React for the front end, Node for the back end, and BigQuery and Supabase for the database.

Ready to start coding! ☕️

Building in Public

With a rough idea, some competitor research, and a revisit to my old Google Sheets, I started sketching in Figma to visualize the product and maintain my creativity.

I began documenting everything in Notion (planning to share it here soon) and launched the Instagram profile @bublic.app to share the journey — especially the failures.

Sunday Night

Sunday night, I was thinking about creating a lifestyle business when the idea for Bublic came to me. Originally, I wanted to build a social media platform for founders who want to "build in public." One challenge was connecting all the data so founders could easily share results. While validating the idea with my friend Tiago Costa (@construindoumastartup), he suggested separating the concepts and first ensuring a clear view of the data.

Looking back, both of us had struggled with integrating dozens of APIs, dashboards, or Google Sheets to make data-driven decisions. That's when Bublic was born. The name comes from "Build in Public," and the logo is a transparent box — a nod to the idea of founders working openly, "in public."
